Frequently asked . . .

Q:  Can I listen to the band?

A:  You can listen to samples on this site.

Q:  Can I see the band play live?
A:  The majority of our engagements are private functions, although it is sometimes possible to view the band by prior arrangement.
If you prefer not to wait, you can view our video now -  on the home page of this site. Both the visuals and audio were recorded live at a function, thus
giving an accurate representation of the band.

Q:  How long do you play for?
A:  We normally play for a maximum of two and a half hours total playing time divided into 2 or 3 sets.

Q:  Do you play recorded music during your breaks?
A:   Yes, we play music from from our i-pod. If you prefer you can provide your own music compilations on i-pod.

Q: How long do you take to set up?
A:  Ideally we like 2 hours to access the venue, set up and soundcheck.  If you would like us to set-up well before the event this is usually possible
but may involve a small extra 'waiting' fee.

Q:  How much space do you need?
A:  The largest area we need will be approximately 6m x 3m. We are used to smaller spaces too.  If there is a staged area, it helps, but we are happy to play on the flat.  We  can also play outside, but will need to be under cover in case of rain.

Q:  Do you always have the same personnel in the band?
A:  ALIBI's singers and musicians are among the finest in the country, and are sometimes unavailable due to session and touring work. This is why we have a carefully selected pool of amazing performers, so we can guarantee that every function we play for is a major success!

Q:  ALIBI offer a large choice of line-ups. Which one should we choose?
A:  When we provide a quote we will tell you how much the different sizes of band cost so you can choose a line-up according to your requirements and         budget. If you are not sure what size band you will need, just ask us.

Q:  Is there anything we need to provide on the day for the band?
A:  The musicians will require a hot meal and drinks during performance. We will also need 2 x 13 amp power sockets for our equipment.

Q:  Can you play at our wedding ceremony/drinks reception/dinner as well as providing music for the evening?
A:  Yes - clients often ask us to provide background music in the afternoon, followed by dance music from the band in the evening.

Q: Where will you play?
A: We are happy to travel anywhere, but the fee may reflect travelling time and accommodation requirements.

Q:  What do I need to do to book?
A:  Once we have agreed details, we will send you a booking form for you to sign and return with deposit.

Q:  When is payment due?
A:  We usually ask for a £200 deposit, with the balance payable one week (or earlier) before the day of performance.
